PreisPiranha is developed by Sylphen GmbH & Co. KG, an IT systems house in Central Hesse that has specialised in price monitoring and dynamic pricing since 2011. What the Odoo plugin can do
The module exchanges product and account data with the PreisPiranha API. You configure the connection in Settings; monitoring then runs directly in Odoo.

What does the Odoo plugin cost?
The Odoo plugin itself is free; there is no licence fee for installation. Ongoing price monitoring uses tokens: each crawl consumes credit from your token account, which you top up in the token shop in Odoo Settings. You only pay for the price queries you actually use.

How to get started
- Install the module and open PreisPiranha → Settings .
- Create an account or enter your existing account key.
- Set default price rules for minimum price and alignment.
- On the products you want, enable Monitor price .
- Check competitor prices on the product form or under Registered Products.
Tip: A barcode (EAN) on the product improves matching on marketplaces.
By default the plugin monitors German marketplaces. For other countries talk to us.

Settings and account
Connect your PreisPiranha account, check token balance and crawl status, and start the guided onboarding tour in a dedicated Settings app.
Price rules and sample calculation
Price adoption is enabled per product. Global settings provide the defaults once Manage list price is on. Product overrides take precedence.
- Minimum-price rule: floor based on purchase price or market reference
- Price alignment: derive the sales price from the lowest, average or suggested market price
- Percentage and absolute surcharges on both rules
- Live preview with a sample calculation directly in Settings
Registered products
The central list shows all monitored products with sync status, price differences, number of shops and the last market update.
Competitor prices on the product form
Each monitored product gets its own tab with sync status, reference prices, price-difference badges and one-click adoption of market prices. Minimum price and alignment can be overridden per product.
Market overview
Open the market overview from every monitored product and compare your Odoo sales price with competitor shops, including direct links to the source listings.
Managed sales prices
With Manage sales price, alignment rules apply the sales price automatically. Every change is recorded in the chatter, including the last manually set price.
Data and privacy
The module communicates with the PreisPiranha API. Data that may be transmitted:
- Product IDs, names, barcodes and sales prices
- Account key and licence status
- Company name, contact name and email during account registration
The data is used solely for price monitoring, product registration and licence management. Processing is GDPR-compliant in our own data centre in Germany, with no third-country transfer.
